Description
This is just a simple programme designed to emulate a real chess board and pieces.

It was born out of the frustration of trying to use 'other' email chess programmes which
insisted on trying to teach me how to play chess and not allowing moves. All I wanted was a
computer version of a 'real' chess set-up and not some smart alec piece of software telling
me what to do.

When playing chess by email rather than having a real chess board set up you can use this.

It assumes nothing about the game of chess and will allow you to move any piece to any
position on the board, just as you can with a real one.

There is no need to save the game as this is done automatically when you exit, you may also
move the pieces directly with the mouse or enter the moves into the boxes provided.
